EGYPTIAN TREASURE HUNT GAME

MATH
Have a class discussion about various triangles and the different angles needed to make a structurally sound base for a 3D form like a pyramid. Use the free template in the TPT resource page to create a 3D pyramid, decorate with hieroglyphics.

HISTORY
Ancient Egypt’s history spanned 3,000 years and more than 30 dynasties. Egyptian history reveals unique traditions and customs. Have students create their own treasure hunt game using the template provided in the TPT resource page.

LANGUAGE ARTS
Egyptian hieroglyphs was the formal writing system used in Ancient Egypt. Have students make flash cards to match symbols and words.

SCIENCE
Mummification of not only humans but also scared cats and birds like the Ibis have been uncovered in Egyptian pyramids. Have students use paper mache to create their own symbolic mummified form.

EXTENSION
Have students design cards with different Egyptian symbols, making two copies of each symbol, place cards face down and create a concentration game by having the students flip over the cards to find the matching images.
